Nearly every day I find some excuse to walk the 4+kilometers in to Ubud; and every day I answer the question "Transport??" with "Walking."
"Oh, jalan-jalan."
Not sure why the repetition, Hati-Hati is attention. And jalan-jalan definitely requires a lot of hati-hati to avoid screaming scooters and roaming dogs.
I thought you might like a look at some people and things I have encountered on my walks.

Candace,
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your blog and "traveling" through your photos. What a warm and colorful country. As for me I sit by Lake Washington...it has been in the high 70s for a month. I bask, I knit, I float around in my inner tube a lot, make breakfast by the shore in my little electric frying pan and drink beer. Enjoying my new iPad and having fun with the many photo apps.
Aawwww! This is the third time I've tried to write a comment. They keep disappearing. What's that all about? Love your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteWe returned home from Massachusetts and have settled in to the fall routine- Fromm classes and Down Syndrome and more time with Ava (who is now walking and talking). Life is good, but we miss you. When do you get home?? Love you- Paula and Ron
Very struck by three things. 1) beautiful pictures 2) very informative--how did you collect so many interesting facts for your blog? 3) the prepubescent dancing girls reminded me of the little beauty queen princesses in the US.
